Every special occasion needs a special occasion makeup. Many women prefer to go for services from people who are specialised in makeup services and others like to do their wedding makeup on their own, right from the comfort of their home. When it's your wedding day, you might be scared of doing your makeup, but believe it or not, it's a very simple thing to do. And here are the steps to prove that. Step 1: Prep Your Skin Before your wedding is due, in a couple of weeks prior, try increasing the amount of effort you put in your skin care. Start doing facials, apply masks and stay away from junk food. This is because what you eat shows up on your skin. Step 2: Prime Your Skin Primers help your makeup to stay on your skin, even out your skin tone and minimize your pores and fine lines by filling them in. There are different primers out there for every skin type. If you have oily skin, use a mattifying primer. If you are dry skin, use a hydrating one. Step 3: Work on your complexion Choose a foundation that matches your skin color and your skin type and avoid using one that has SPF in it, so you don't end up with flashback in photography. Now it's time for the concealer. If you have a blemish that wasn't covered with the foundation or dark circles that are peaking through, make sure to cover them with your concealer. And do not forget to blend everything together using a beauty blender or a brush. Step 4: Powders After finishing your complexion, set your makeup with a translucent powder to make sure that your makeup stays put on your face throughout your wedding day and to prepare it for the bronzer and other powders to come. After setting your face with powder, use a bronzer that is warm toned, apply the bronzer on the sides of your face in the shape of the number 3. Forehead, cheekbones and jaw. Add blush to the apples of your cheeks to give you extra color and finally add your highlighter to the top of your cheekbones. Step 5: Eyes Apply an eyeshadow primer to your eyes to make sure that your eyeshadow doesn't fade throughout the day, then take a warm brown color and apply it to the crease to give it depth and color. Add some highlight on your inner corners to open up your eyes. After that, apply some mascara. Step 6: Lipstick Prior to applying your lipstick, apply some lip balm and let it sit for a while to hydrate your lips. You can apply any color you want, whether it's red, nude, or brown.
